About Wake Up Recovery and Sherry Gaba, LCSW
Hi, my name is Sherry Gaba.
I’m a licensed Psychotherapist and Certified Recovery and Transformation Coach who’s helped hundreds, if not thousands, of people cope with lifelong addictions, including those addicted to alcohol, drugs, shopping, gambling, eating, sex, love, co-dependency, as well as those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, single parenting, and divorce.
Perhaps you’ve seen me on TV…
I’ve shared my expert addiction advice on Dr. Drew Pinsky’s Celebrity Rehab show on VH1 and later on the spin-off, VH1’s Sober House, as well as Celebrity Rehab’s Sex Addiction, CNN, Inside Edition, and numerous other stations and programs.
With over twenty years of experience as a clinician, I’ve worked at some of the highest profile rehab and treatment centers in the country…
And I’ve seen firsthand the terrible grip that addiction can place on someone’s life.
The psychotherapy and life coaching services I provide go much deeper than traditional coaching and therapy. I help my clients uncover intuitive insights from their deepest selves, allowing them to manifest their greatest dreams and desires.
I currently work with individuals, couples, and families, as well as provide group psychotherapy both in my private practice in Westlake Village, CA, as well as phone and Skype appointments.
Additionally, I’m often requested to speak in person and on global internet teleseminars and have presented at national conferences and to general audiences on numerous topics. I’m also the host of the Recovery Today Summit and have co-hosted on the KVTA AM radio show, The Brighter Side of Recovery: Families and Couples in Crises.
In my psychotherapy and coaching practices, I offer a blend of conventional and alternative approaches, such as mindfulness skills and somatic experiencing energy work, and draw upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate whatever is most helpful for each client.
In short… I offer practical, interactive, solution-focused coaching and psychotherapy services with an intuitive-insights approach that provides the support and practical feedback that helps my clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns and build on their strengths to identify and achieve their life goals!
I’m also the author of the ground-breaking and award-winning book, The Law of Sobriety: Attracting Positive Energy for a Powerful Recovery, have written for Deepak Chopra’s INTENT Blog, on BeliefNet, the number one spirituality site on the web, and currently contribute to Counselor Magazine online, Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global website, as well my own blogs on this and other websites.
If you or someone you know is in recovery, I firmly believe that managing addiction is more about MINDSET than anything else. If you want to start taking powerful steps that work and truly take back your life, you MUST get rid of the negative thoughts, behaviors, and feelings that are holding you back.
The minute you begin clearing self-sabotaging beliefs, you’ll start living the life you’ve been longing for… It’s within your reach!
The road to recovery can be a profoundly joyous path that provides the confidence and optimism you need to excel in all areas of your life… But it’s not a path we can take alone.
This is why I created the Wake Up Recovery Community… To help people just like you learn to harness the infinite energy that surrounds us, transform your recovery, feel better about yourself as a person, and be happier than you’ve EVER felt inside, without having to spend the thousands of dollars typical of expensive personal coaching or other self-help programs!
So, if you’re ready to start using your recovery as the springboard to create the relationships and life you truly desire, click here to join the Wake Up Recovery Community, today!
